Microsoft separates Teams from Office 365 and Microsoft 365 plans in accordance with EU requirements.
Microsoft Corporation has an important change in their product offering for commercial customers in the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland.
Microsoft is splitting Teams from the Office 365 and Microsoft 365 plans. This move, which is the result of a decision made by Microsoft to comply with EU requirements, will affect the following subscriptions:
𝟭. 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲-𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿:
Office 365 E1/E3/E5
Microsoft 365 E3/E5
𝟮. 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲-𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗿:
Office 365 F3
Microsoft 365 F1/F3
𝟯. 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗺å 𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗵𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿:
Microsoft 365 Business Basic
Microsoft 365 Business Standard
Microsoft 365 Business Premium
Initially, the changes will only take effect when changing distributors if you already have E plans, business and F licenses are not affected. So for most people it means "Business-as-usual".
Going forward, new subscriptions without Microsoft Teams will be labeled as "EEA (no Teams)" in the respective product descriptions. These subscriptions will also have a lower price compared to packages that include Teams. Subscriptions that include Teams will not change the product description.
