Team video meetings on remote desktop

How do I provision audio, camera and microphone for Teams on remote desktop?


Note! Camera only works with Teams if your local computer has Windows 10 version 1809 or higher installed. You can check the Windows version on your computer by pressing Start and then type Winch and then press Enter keys.

Before logging in to the remote desktop, do the following on your own local PC.

Press the Start (1) and select Settings (2)

Under settings select Protection of personal information (3)

Select Video camera (4)

Allow access to the camera on this device must be enabled. (5)

Allow apps to access your camera must be Switched on (6)

Allow desktop apps to access to your camera, must be Beaten on (7) Go back to Settings (8)

Select Microphone (9)

Allow access to the microphone on this device device must be enabled. (10)

Allow apps to access your microphone must be Beaten on (11)

Allow desktop apps to access your microphone, must be Switched on (12)

Go back to Settings (13)

Under Settings Select System (14)

Select Sound (15)

Under Output select the output device on your computer you want to use. (16) (e.g. speaker or headset)

Under Entrance select the input device on your computer you want to use. (17) (e.g. microphone or headset)

Close Settings (18)

Next, you need to customize the remote desktop shortcut.

Right-click on the shortcut to your remote desktop (19) and select Edit (20)

Select the tab Local resources (21) Under Remote sound Select Settings (22)

Put a dot in Play on this computer (23)

Put a dot in Record from this computer (24) Press OK

Under Local devices and resources Select More (25)

Check the checkbox Devices for video recording (26) if it is found in the overview.

Check the checkbox Other supported PnP devices (27) Press OK

Select the tab In general (28) and press Gem (29)

Close Connection to Remote Desktop (30)

Now log in to the remote desktop as usual. Now Teams on the remote desktop has has access to the camera, speakers and microphone.
