How do I set up Duo Security as 2-factor authentication when I log in to my Windows PC?
In order to use 2 factor on your Windows computer, you need to set up Duo Security. This means that you will need to authorize your access in your Duo Mobile app when you log in to your Windows computer with your password.
You will receive the following email from Duo Security.
Start by downloading Duo Mobile app on your phone (2). You can search for Duo Mobile in the App Store/Google Play app.
Then open the app.
Select Continue (3)
Select Use a QR code (4)
Scanning The QR code in the mail (5)
Choose a name for the account (6)
You have now set up Duo Security on your phone (7) and will now need to authorize your access in the app when you log in to your Windows computer.
