How do I enable TPM 2.0 if my Modern Workplace computer is non-compliant on TPM?

To ensure full functionality with Modern Workplace, your PC must have enabled TPM 2.0.

This guide is based on a Lenovo computer, but other brands have similar functionality.

Check if your computer has TPM 2.0

Open up Search (1) in the taskbar

Search for Device management (2)

Fold Safety devices (3) out

Check that it says Trusted Platform Module 2.0 (4)

It says Trusted Platform Module 2.0: Continue following the guide to see how to enable TPM on your computer.

It does NOT say Trusted Platform Module 2.0: Your computer needs to be replaced

Enable TPM

Open the computer BIOS menu

  1. Turn on your computer (or restart if it's already on)
  2. Press the F1 repeatedly until the computer beeps and you see one of the images below.
(If that fails, simply restart your computer and try again)
  3. Now compare the BIOS screen on your PC with the screenshots in the guides below Newer BIOS version and Older BIOS version and follow the instructions that match.

Newer BIOS version

Enable TPM 2.0

  1. You can use mouse or keys to navigate around.
  2. Select the menu Security and then Security Chip. (1)
  3. Make sure that Security Chip is On (2)

  2. Select the menu Security
  3. Select the submenu Security Chip (1)
  4. Make sure that Security Chip is Enabled (2)
