How do I enable BitLocker disk encryption on my PC if my computer is non-compliant on disk encryption?
Disk encryption ensures that your personal and any shared emails and documents cannot be extracted from the hard drive in case your computer is stolen.
It is therefore important that you enable BitLocker disk encryption on your PC.
How to activate BitLocker disk encryption
Start your PC and search for BitLocker (1) in the search bar next to the Windows button
Click on the Manage BitLocker (2)
He BitLocker turned on or off?
If BitLocker is turned off (1) proceed to the "Enable Bitlocker" section.
If BitLocker is turned on (2) and you have received a warning email that BitLocker not is enabled, you should start by Turn BitLocker off (3). When decryption is complete, restart your PC and go back to the How to enable BitLocker disk encryption.
Enable BitLocker
Click on the Turn BitLocker on (1)
Click on the Save to your Azure AD account (2)
Click on the Next (3)
Select Encrypt the entire drive (4)
Click on the Next (5)
Click on the Start encryption (6)
Encryption can take a while, but you can continue working while the drive is encrypted.
When disk encryption is complete, you can click Close (7)
