Access to emails older than 3 months in shared 365 mailbox

How do I access messages older than 3 months in a shared 365 mailbox?


Prerequisites for following the guide: Before following this guide, you need to contact our Support to have automapping disabled on the mailbox in question.

By default, Microsoft 365 mail only shows messages that are newer than 3 months old when viewing a shared mailbox in Outlook. (1)

If you want to access messages older than 3 months, do the following.

Open Outlook

Select Filer (2)

Select Account settings (3)

Select New (4)

Enter the email address of the shared mailbox you want to access. (5)

Select Get connected (6)

Select Office 365 (7)

Select Log in with another account (8) and Log in (9)

Enter the password for your own personal e-mail account. (10)

Select Next (11)

Enter the password for your own personal email account. (12)

Select Log in (13)

Select Done (14)

Close Outlook and open Outlook again.

Select Click here to see more on Microsoft Exchange (14) to see messages older than 3 months.
